Interoperable Chemistry Capabilities
About this project
This work will make it easier to swap chemistry and aerosol mechanisms within our atmospheric models. Once this work is complete, our models will be easier to configure and more interoperable, allowing us to ask and answer new scientific questions.
Why this work is important
This work will add next-generation chemistry and aerosol capabilities within our atmospheric models, such as MPAS-A and CAM. The new capabilities will be more computationally performant, follow better software development practices, and be easier to configure and customize to the science you are interested in studying.
